Cake Decorating and Piping Workshop

This workshop is open to all skill levels! The class includes all the tools you need to decorate your perfect cake. At the end of the workshop, you’ll take home your beautiful creation in a box, a (locally screen printed) mood bake gift bag and mood bake recipes for you to try at home! 

During our workshop, pastry chef Madison Ortega will demonstrate how level, fill and frost a double 6 inch funfetti cake (made with naturally dyed sprinkles). She'll walk you through the process of making buttercream and you'll have the opportunity to mix your own buttercream colors. You will learn how to fill a piping bag like a pastry chef, and classic piping techniques. Practice piping boards will be included along with one-on-one instruction time for trouble shooting. Maddy will speak with you about the mood bake creative process and how to incorporate fresh, edible flowers into your cake creations. There will be a wide variety of add-ons, like toasted nuts, berries, candied fruit, sprinkles and LOTS more, for you to finish your dream cake.
